I work in Adobe Illustrator, but it's less about the tools and more about how we use them. Other great options are Figma, Affinity Designer, and Procreate. Canva works for basic visuals, but you'll hit its limits quickly.
The short answer is, yes, but only if you:
1. Provide credits: clearly credit me in the caption of your post. Don't just subtly tag me. On LinkedIn this means mentioning @HannahWilson and Instagram @QuotedVisually.
2. Don't edit my work: You are not permitted to recreate my work. You may not add your name, face or logo to my work, or crop out my logo and add image filters.
3. Share it as a “one-off”: Not part of your regular content strategy to post my work, e.g, posting my work every week.
4. Non-commercial use: Share for personal use only, not to sell your product or service. If you would like to purchase a licence to share my illustrations commercially, please contact me directly.
5. Be a cheerleader: Us artists get little to no return when you share our work for free, even with credits. Make it a win-win by linking my newsletter or course in the comments of your post (see example) and support the making of future creations on Buy me a coffee.

If I see that you are infringing on my copyright, I may ask that you edit the caption of your post or delete the post entirely. If I don't hear from you, I will file a copyright claim to have your post removed.

Quoted Visually started, back in 2020, as doodles in the margins of the non-fiction books I was slowly reading... 📖
In 2021, I took a random Graphic Visualisation course. I was immediately hooked on visualising abstract ideas!
As someone who is dyslexic, it was an effort to understand and remember what I was reading. A project for my portfolio 🧠
My first visuals were 'homework' for the course. I had my mum, boyfriend and um... Greg McKeown seeing my posts 😱
By chance, I came across the work of Janis Ozolins, Liz Fosslien, and Jack Butcher. They literally paved the path for me 🪄
Day 1... on a whim, I'd made my private Instagram public, published 3x a week, and things escalated pretty fast 🔥
I went from studying Fine Art to working in Graphic Design, to quitting my 9-5 to say YES to opportunities coming my way!
I blinked, and 10 months later, there were 100,000 of you following me. One post even reached 17 million people 🤯
People I once looked up to became friends and cheerleaders. I learnt quickly that building a brand is not a solo pursuit 🫶🏻
Influential people came knocking at my door. It's the stuff out of dreams... all because I made myself visible 🤍
That was 3.5 years ago! Now, my work has been seen by millions, and I've designed a new life for myself thanks to visuals 🌎
I've illustrated for the New York Times and Sunday Times best-selling books and the book shelf is only growing 👀
Along the way, I've experimented with Quoted Visually products, like calendars and prints, shipping orders myself 📦
I even launched a community-powered course in 2024, teaching the meta-skill of visualsing ideas to 80+ students ✍🏻
Today, I'm a founding member of the Creator Leaders community, and regularly attend book launch events in London 📚
I've met my heroes, and they've already known me by name. I never expected this from sharing my 'silly little doodles'...
I even walked into an airport and saw 'one of my books' with Penguin in the flesh for the first time, by surprise 😭
